Upcoming events (external tournaments, social events etc) are listed here, for members’ interest, along with any relevant details (how to apply, costs etc). For further details, members should contact the Club Tournaments Officer.

For the winter season 2025/26, we have an arrangement with Fox Archers for any of our archers to shoot with them at their indoor range on Sunday mornings (e.g. if the weather is bad and we cannot shoot at our own range!). The details are:

Indoor archery at West Heath for the winter season is starting Sunday 2nd November 2025. Please arrive at 9.15am for a prompt 9.30am start. All are welcome to attend, visitors will be required to show proof of AGB Membership.

Parking for archers is at the top of the main drive and turn right into the spaces in front of the school building. The sports hall is located to the left of the main driveway and accessed (on foot) via a new road which replaces the previous tarmac pathway.

Please be on time, we are charged by the hour and have a 3-hour slot allocated for our use. Parking spaces outside the hall are limited and reserved for disabled archers and those carrying club equipment.

We will not be providing hot drinks at the halfway point, just pausing for enough time to pay weekly subs and use the facilities. Make sure to bring your own drinks/snacks for indoor shooting. Payment can be made via bank transfer or cash on the day.

We can shoot a variety of rounds but will start with a Portsmouth, which is 5 dozen arrows at 20 yards. The other alternatives we can decide on during the season but all are well within everyone’s capability. 6 usable indoor arrows should cover every eventuality.

Sadly, the hourly rate charged to us has been increased slightly and the addition of VAT is now payable on all hire costs. This has left us with no option but to increase the weekly charge. In order for us to continue to provide this valuable practice session in the winter months, we need 20 archers to attend each week at the cost of £8.50 per person to break even. Please do come along and join us.
